2015 BCDS support programs announced

The BCDS Board is pleased to announce funding for two support programs in 2015, as detailed below. Contact any BCDS Officer for details. Applications are due by May 24, 2015.

BCDS Innovation Fund Course Development

BCDS Innovation Fund

The BCDS is pleased to announce another round of Innovation Support available to individual BCDS members or member clubs in 2015.  The Innovation fund is designed to support efforts to expand the reach of disc golf in BC.

ELIGIBILITY

All current BCDS members and member clubs are eligible to submit a request.

FUNDING LEVEL

Support can be for any amount, however a total pool of $2000 is available.

PROGRAM PRIORITIES

The program is designed to let members be creative in their applications, and funds will be awarded based on the following priorities:

  • Generates new members
  • Expands the community of golfers (focused on increasing participation and BCDS membership among youth, women, older players, and other under-represented populations)
  • Sustainability

DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Applications must be received by the President no later than May 24, 2015.


Course Development Fund

BCDS has allocated $6,000 to a provincial course development fund for 2015. Applications must be received by a BCDS Board Member no later than May 24. All BCDS Affiliated Clubs can apply for up to $1000 in aid. All requested funds must have a cash-match from the club. Successful applicants will be expected to provide a report of the results of the project to be presented at the AGM and archived on the Website. A letter of support from the municipality is required for all infrastructure improvements and course development, unless the course is on private land (in which case a letter of support from the owner is required).

DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION INFORMATION

To access these funds, please send a description of your course development project, as well as details regarding how the funds will be spent, to any BCDS Officer. Closing date is May 24, 2015.

Funds must be used for course development, improvement, or installation.
