By-laws amendments

The Board of Directors are proposing a number of bylaw changes for the membership to consider at the AGM. Linked below are three files: the current bylaws; the revised bylaws; and a document comparing the two line-by-line. The changes are intended to support the following nine goals:

  1. Eliminated the Branch structures and officers
  2. Cleaned up spelling and numbering
  3. Added the new officer positions
  4. Add new appointed positions
  5. Revised duties to match new positions
  6. Established that the first meeting of the new board should occur immediately after the AGM ends
  7. Added a requirement for board insurance
  8. Added a standing committee (Elections) chaired by the past president
  9. Added a statement allowing members to be notified of the AGM through the web site.

If you have any questions about the changes, please feel free to contact the Vice President or another Board member.

BCDS AGM

The 2014 BCDS AGM will be held in conjunction with the Provincial Disc Golf Championships. The AGM will be after the second round on Saturday September 20, in room 328 at the Hillcrest Community Centre, around the corner from the course (4575 Clancy Loranger Way, Vancouver, BC V5Y 2M4). The BCDS will be providing pizza and pop for all attendees, starting 30 minutes after the second round ends, or at 6:00PM, which ever is later (the AGM will start shortly after dinner when all officers are in attendance).

Check back soon for a copy of the agenda, which will include proposed changes to the bylaws. If you’d like to join the Board as an officer or volunteer, please Contact Craig Sheather.
